As of July 2013, Illinois requires students 18 – 20 year old behind the wheel testing or online driving classes via a professional driving school. These teenage driving lessons can consist of 6 hours of specific state standard curriculum or the traditional 30 hours of Driver's Ed for teen's classroom training. Sunrise Driving School offers students in the northwest suburbs of Illinois the following options:
The second option is also $390 for those 18 to 20 year olds that need the required 6 hours of classroom work to attain their license. We offer the complete Driver's Ed for the teens' classroom portion of 30 hours free and charge 7 hours of behind the wheel instruction. Please provide the class number when signing up for this option.
Option 3 is $900, and includes a minimum of 25 hours of instruction. Any additional hours will cost the student $4. Important note: any program refunds for hours not taken after the second teenage driving lesson will incur an additional $10 per hour charge. Students will only be eligible for a road test if they have completed 30 hours of classroom and 6 hours of instruction at a minimum 90 percent or with a grade of A minus or higher. Fill out the following forms to get the schedule that best suits you. Please note that this is a request only; we will do our best to accommodate, but this is not a firm schedule.
